That's the funniest damn clip I've ever seen. I caught myself almost vomiting and laughing at the same time.
It's been a tough week and really needed the laugh.

I've seen the vid before, and had to think the other guy jumped on the elk's belly when he put his head down there. I have no idea how you paunch an animal ringing out the butt. The guts aren't even close. I wonder. I've never ever seen it.

My son emailed that vid to me. At least the guy in the vid seemed to have a sense of humor about it. I suppose he had to with all his buddies laughing at him. He laughed so it appeared they were laughing with him, at least in his mind.
I've nicked a gut or twenty in my day, but never had an episode quite like that. The closest to that IME was the caribou. I think the steep slope they were on had a lot to do with the spewage. The guy with the camera is filming the top of his buddy's head. I don't envy them knowing the amount of work ahead of them, let alone riding out with the guy with the newly green hunting pants. He will never enjoy THAT venison because it will always taste like spewage, even if it really doesn't. Too funny!

I think the cuts that do it are as he works between the haunches making the initial incisions on the stomach...I'm guessing the "explosion" is either due to gravity or that the animal has been down a while and the stomach is blown with gas...

Wouldn't matter how cold the nearest creek or pond was, I'd be in it taking a bath.

I don't know, I think she has an expression on her face which makes me think she knows what's happening and just "holds it" until just the right moment.
