Not looking to defend the Chinese or communism, but it's ironic that these items seem to be the product of entrepeneurial capitalism that has crept its way into China.
Somehow I doubt it is a product of central government planning, or a PLA-owned shop. Somebody figured out a way to make a buck (or yuan) producing and selling this stuff.

The Chicoms rounded up all dissenters before Obama arrived.
The rallies greeting him were not spontaneous. The government ran these things, and you can be sure any posters or T-shirts were approved.
