Well,
I HAD some extre cash, sooo, I went by the local gunshop and they had just gotten in a CZ in 17Mach11.
Was thinking about a scope, didn't want to wait to get one from Rick, sooo.... went back to the shop and picked up a Lupie 4X12 AO to go on it!
Got 4 boxes of CCI ammo, and got the scope mounted. Will give it a "test fire" tomarrow. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
Stay tuned for results from the new "rat slayer"
Virgil B.
PS, they only "gouged" me $395. for the Leupold, same price as SWFA, but I know Rick woulda beat this price! (couldn't wait for it to be shipped!)I'm like a little kid at xmas!

I bought a Savage MK II GLV in HM2 for the 17 aguila round. I took it to the big international rimfire squirrel hunt a few days ago and it performed admirably. The aguila round was very accurate and did not tear up the squirrels at all, but did kill them soundly. The round is not loud at all and is cheaper than the HM2 ammo. It is a great late season squirrel round for those long shots. The farthest shot I got at the big squirrel hunt was about 60-80 yds and it was not problem. I do need to do some work on the Savage trigger.

HOLEY SHEET!!!
To say I'm impressed is a GREAT UNDERSTATEMENT!!
This CZ 17Mach11 is now my favorite small varmit rifle.
Wish I could post pictures of my groups. (my scanner is down) I'm getting 5 shots into .125 at 30 yds.
Could cover the entire group with the base of a .30 cal. bullet
The trigger is a little rough, has some creep, but I'm scared to work on a rifle that's shooting this good.
The 4X12 AO Leupie w/fine crosshair is working soooo good...I usually send them in for a dot reticle...I'm not about to tutch this scope!
Was going to shoot a group at 100 yds., but figure if it's working at sage rat ranges why take a chance... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
One happy shooter, Virgil B.

Glad to hear your CZ is shooting great. I hope to pick mine up Tuesday. I'm getting a CZ 452 American in 22rf. Looking forward to running a few bricks thru it...

Mine is the 452 American also...One good looking rifle, with a nice "classic" stock.

Excellent news. I placed an order with the local dealer for whatever came in to his distributor first, an American or Varmint. It is massive overkill, but I have a spare Weaver KT-15 with that I used to use for smallbore silhouette that will probably go on the rifle first. I'm thinking that the Lake Shasta squirrel population is going to take a serious hit...

Shot my first "stellers jay" blue jay with the 17 MK11 today. He was setting on the ground, so I didn't see the spectactular ":bomb effect" of the 17HMR. But saw lots of fethers fly!!
Great round! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

My CZ 452 American (22rf) is shooting great as well. I'm very much impressed with this rifle and I don't impress easily...

Cheaha,
I'm very impressed with the way my CZ shoots. They definitely make a quality firearm! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
