I miss a few days here and there and I feel like I missed something great.

What's the story with the "South-Carlonia Supergrade Winchester"?

I've only ever frequented the backpacking forum on this site, so I don't know the backstory here. Can anyone fill me in?

The way I understand it, someone claims to have a M70 Supergrade in 375 H&H factory stamped Made in South Carolina.

On the other hand, countless folks state that such animal does not exist, and have not only asked for picture proof, but have offered considerable incentive just to see it.

As of yet, the only thing produced as a result appears to be lung ballast.

Quite the example of duck & cover is ensuing.

If you are short on patience for B.S. you may just wish to leave it be.

If not, than feel free to antagonize at will.

That's a new one to me and I love it. I'll try to use it in conversation this week.

RWE,

Thanks for the backstory. All the shinanigans that seem to have hit the Backpacking Forum are a little bit clearer now.

Laffin...

See, I missed the whole Jessica thing. Its lost on me.

Now the fictitious M70 SC Supergrade in 375 H&H and the "I invented the XCR coating process" were friggin priceless.

Lee24, dude, really, you're full of [bleep]. Everybody (even JB) has publically called you a moron, and its not because we like you laugh

I hate to laugh at this stuff, but damn if he isn't the second coming of Cliff Clavin.

Well, ya see, Norm, its like this A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, its the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.

This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. Thats why you always feel smarter after a few beers.
