lol

Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote.

Don't be afraid to try.
Girls have done it.
Old gray haired men have done it.
I've done it, so anyone can do it.

Pretty pathetic that he argues about what others can/can't do while missing the point everyone's trying to make.

You're not actually expecting a concrete answer are you?

That's not the way he rolls.

sgt217, I don't remember the trail name. That was 38 years ago, and I had no map. We just took off. It may not have even had a name then.

If you are actually familiar with the area, why can't you figure it out from the location of the Park Service store I described?
I would be interested to know so I can look it up and send the maps and whatever there is, to my hiking companions.

Some of you trolls do so little hiking and are so poor at arithmetic that you cannot convert minutes per mile into miles per hour, or even understand it when others do it for you.

Brad, you decide what you are.
All I know is you said you can't hike 20 miles or something like that, so you deny the facts that may others do it all the time. I certainly won't waste time going back to see exactly what your stated limits are.

I know krp and ingwe can't do the math. Don't care. It won't impress me to see any of you doing 2nd grade math.

I agree... longest day on my 1977 AT hike was in NC at a little over 25 miles with a 60 lb pack. Course I was only 16 Y's old.

50 miles sans pack is very doable, but 100 mile/24hr's is mostlty bullchit.

Since several posters here have given many examples of men covering over 100 miles a day on foot, some with loads, and of others with heavy packs covering 40 and 50 miles a day, you were simply uninformed, Brad. Now you are informed.

We don't really need you to apologize for your rudeness, but it would be the proper thing to do.
