I have been told that all reloading tools were not marked. Both of mine in 303 sav have been marked on the handle side of the frame below the hinge point (sav 303) as shown in the photo below. Does anyone know when they stopped marking the calibers on the handles / frames? Will the handle only work for one caliber? Thanks, Blair

The frames of the Win cal tools were not marked w/calibers. Just the dies.

Blair I can not help you with that but there was a reloading tool for sale at James Julia wth what I thought was a VERY high price of something like $1200-1400... I think it was in 25-35... did not see what it actually sold for.
was waiting for the auction to post about it for the count...

The .303's handles were marked while handles of other calibers were not. I have seen no indiction that there were .303's that were not marked. Seperate dies could be purchased so the answer is yes they are interchangable.

That went cheap. It's worth 1K easy. It's got condition.

Correct, the die only has "303" on it. The handle has "SAV 303".

I see that in the Canadian version of Savage Arms Company #15 that the tool sets cost $4.00 for the complete tool and extractor. The cost of another die was $2.60 plus 35 cents for the cap extractor. Bullet molds were offered for 25-35 (86 gr), 30-30 (100 gr), 303 (100 gr), 32-40 (98 gr) and 38-55 (155 gr) in regular short range bullets only,no picture of mold is shown. Any idea of year of catalogue #15?? BillR

That catalog lists the 1903 Gallery and speaks of the 1904 World Fair as being in the past. I think the #15 catalog is from 1905, maybe 1906.
