I'm 7" high at 50 yards shooting .30-30 Remington 150gr factory loads and already have the rear sight bottomed out.

I haven't chronoed these loads to see how fast they are going but once finished shooting my last box will be loading 150gr Hornady round nose bullets.

Do you think they are so slow that they are that high?

I've measured the front sight and e-mailed XS already to see what they say.

My 336SS shoots high at 50yds. with 150gr. from a rested bench position but shoots to point of aim from a standing non-supported position. Same deal with the XS being as low as it will go. Go figure!

I e-mailed them and a fellow named Bo responded he said he would send me a new front sight .100" higher and basically it sometimes just happens.

I am impressed with both their sights and customer service.

Same thing happened to me. Called XS and they sent me a new one right away. Their customer service is second to none.

I agree! They even sent a postage paid envelope to return the one that didn't work.
