Coyote hunting means calling to me and I prefer my 220 Swift M77 (top rifle) for that application. I've shot a slew of them with it and never lost one. But I'll also shoot a coyote with anything that's handy.

I have a .204 Ruger, .218 Bee, .222Rem., and .22/250 that I hunt with but I've only killed a coyote with the .218 and 35 gr. v-max. It's a Ruger #1 and the more I shoot it, the more I like it.

I like this one for saving fur. It's a 17 Rem built on a Howa 1500. I don't have all the camo-tape on it in this photo, so you can see it.

Some others that I have that I've used for fur include a 22-250 on a Rem 722, 6mm TCU on a Sako, 204 Ruger on a Rem 700.

i really like my new haven model 70 classic fwt 25-06... it started as a 30-06 with a skanky barrel, and some workmanship issues...
i ordered a barrel from pac-nor, sent it to "redneck" for a few weeks, and it is a precision shooting machine with 75 gr vmaxes...

i have an H&R .222 that is a pretty fair little bolt gun, too... light and handy, for sure... shoots spooky accurate, too....

MTH, I have shot several yotes with several different calibers and bullets. I'm still experimenting. However, I have not had anything kill them like my 223AI with 50gr Sierra #1330 bullets.. It is like flipping the light switch.. These bullets are fairly tough, they don't explode on grass.. In addition, they are fur friendly out of this round.. I know others milage varies and I know there are other good caliber/bullet combos out there.. I also know it takes several yotes with a caliber/bullet combo to form a steadfast opinion.. I have that with the combo I listed...

My two main yote rigs are a 6/06 and a 7 Mashburn Super. Next stop for me might be a T3 in 22/250 and or in 204. Guessing I may just lean towards the 204.

Dober

(side note, PDS that is a nice tang/Swift)

whatever I have in the truck at the time. Most of the time its a TC Encore in 204, but I've carried everything from 300 Win Mag down to a 17 Rem. They'll all work so I don't sweat the caliber much.

These are my primary 2: obviously dependent upon the time of day.

On Left a CZ .204 Rug and on Right a BDL in .17 Rem
the .17 Rem is the ULTIMATE fur friendly coyote round. You can quote me.

I have a 22-250 and a 243AI in Rem 700 mountain guides, they both shoot well and weigh 7#'s ready to hunt.

I also like AR-15's in 223/5.56.

Have used 204's, 17 Rem, 25-06, 223WSSM, and .222 REM. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few but they all work if you put them in the right situation with the right bullets.

If I had to choose just one, it'd be the 22-250 and I love AR's so that's saying a bunch.

Marlin XL with a 22-250 Savage barrel (they interchange) rechambered to 22-06 carrying a Nikon 6-18 Coyote. Pushes a 55 gr considerably faster than a Swift. (Barrels are cheap)
