30 is a compact and 30sf is a compact short frame. Reach to the trigger is slightly shorter on the SF when measured from the back of the grip to trigger face.

They are very good and shoot well as far as I have seen. I owned one for a while and foolishly sold it after I bought a G29 in 10mm that shot faster, flatter and was a little more accurate. All are the wrong reasons for selling a G30.

I have a regular one. If you have larger than average hands, it will probably feel pretty good. I wear an extra large glove and the G30 fits me great. Got lots to pick from, but the G30 comes with me every time.
