Wind damage to the fence lets 6 Timber Wolfs escape into the park. Three were baited back and captured, three are still out in the area . I guess we have wolfs interduced back in the wild in East TN. The park has no fences so the wolfs are free to travel as they please. Hope they don't catch them because i have never called in a wolf while out calling.

Hmmm, 170 miles more or less from Crossville. Maybe one of us on the Campfire pig hunt will get a wuf too.

I've been there and seen the wolves many times. You'd be hard pressed to catch them any time soon. That mountain is heavily wooded and has only one entrance. I've hiked up there a few times and it probably will be a chore to catch them.

On the other hand there are lots of folks with guns too. It'll be an interesting time for a bit.

The wolfs are still loose and running free, they still haven't caught them as of this morning. Park still closed. Maybe they will mate with a female or male coyote and then we would have some big yotes in this part of the country.

We have a herd of elk in western NC at Cataloochee. We also have red wolf here, but they would be decimated by timber wolves in short order.

Well, it's interesting to see some think wolves will be nice to have around. Here in western Montana, they have nearly eliminated the elk and deer in some large areas. If you don't like hunting for meat, you will really enjoy having them around.
