So last year I fell on my arse w/ my beloved rifle slung over my shoulder. SNAP! I busted my beautiful stock in half. cry So a couple weeks later I bought a rough stock and started refinishing it, thinking I'd have it done by this season. Due to circumstances I won't go into here I rushed the job, resorting to dremel tool use. So the inletting /floating job I did sux to the extreem and the stock is essentially ruined. The bedding job is good tho.

So my question is, if I turned the forarm into a barracuda style stock, what do you guys think it'd look like? Too weird on a traditional bolt action (mauser MK10/Douglas '06ackimp barrel)? I thought I might lighten it up that way.

I'll get another stock and take a couple years to finish it.
