If Dan and others are willing to nut up and take a walk, there is some awesome brookie fishing on the fly somewhat close to Jack Creek. Provided the snow and ice are gone...

My internet is off and on ( barely on when it is) I am going to miss out on the dutch oven cooking. Maybe we can visit sometime. I am a newbie to it but would love to learn more.

Saratoga sounds fine to me. It'll give me a chance to also see an old friend that still cowboys on the TA. When I worked up there, one of the bars in Saratoga had a big glass display case full of mounted prairie dogs in a western town setting, all dressed in cowboy duds. Wonder if'n it's still there..........Cute deal.

Call me a "maybe" due to work schedules - and please don't hold a spot in the cabin for me - give it to someone with a spouse, girlfriend, health issues, etc. I'll make do with a tent or sleep in the back of the truck if the weather's good. I too can bring extra air mattresses, and will chip in on the cabin.

Ummm...there aren't any grizzlies 'round, there, are there? shocked

Anyone coming from CA, Nevada, or Utah is welcome to ride with me. I'm planning to make a week or so out of the trip, since I have never been that way before.

Not sure how much you'd learn from me, but most will eat what I concoct. We do make it to Wyo. some, parents live in Ranchester. Cool state, regardless of the drinking laws.

You betcha, a visit would work, cook, shoot p-dogs send the wimmen shoppin'.

Count me in for the get together. Sounds like a good time and it'd be great to put faces with names.

Dan, if you want to ride with me you could start drinking earlier...

Rattler - Splitting gas sounds like a good plan - not sure I feel real safe leaving my pickup parked in your hometown for too long. Got a safe place to park it? grin One of the teachers up here left their vehicle parked down there for a long weekend and took the train somewhere - ended up less a few windows, tires, radio, anything of value.

What I want to know is, is there going to be a decent hotel/motel for an old man and his Lady in town? You guys can camp at 8500 feet in the snow and cold, I want warm comfort at that time of the year and don't I want to have to put tire chains on my two-wheel drive car.

Tim,

The are rooms in Saratoga but that is why we got the crew quarters. Did you look at that place in the link on line?

And really the weather should be nice. Any snow left will bein drifts in the timber. You won't need to chain up! laugh

If that needs to be done we won't be going there as the road will be closed.

Besides global warming will take care of it! grin

Keith
