Here's the clearance I get with a scout scope and mount on a Marlin 45-70. A conventional scope would probably have the eyepiece bell about 1/2 to 3/4 inch right of the hammer. I think the bolt and safety would be readily available on a Swede 6.5 as long as one was using a scout scope. Conventional scopes would probably not work. One might just run into a store with his rifle and test the positioning before making a purchase.
