Any one know who sells Mark V Mauser actions besides Brownells, I'm not even sure if Brownells is carrying them any more. If they are I can't find them on their web catalog.<BR>Also if any one has any opinions on McGowen barrels, please share them.

Its a Mark X, or Mark 10. Were made in Yugoslavia, guess what happened to the plant several years ago during the silly little wars??? Sometimes you can find one in a gun show, maybe a bareled action or a whole gun. I still have 4 actions, new in the box, reserved for special projects. One has the "butterknife" handle. They be fair actions, if you are a Mauser fan, but require a little make over, then a blue job, as the make overs I do get down into bare metal.

K.B.I. will supposedly be importing the Mar X actions beginning in August of this year.Made at the same factory in Yugoslavia.Regards,Frank.

I have two M98 custom rifle ( 257 Roberts and 280 Rem) both have McGowen barrels and I have hunted and shot these for several years with no problems. The metal work ( fitting, headspacing and blueing) was top notch.
