Choose a scope with the smallest bell possible so it can be put in the shortest rings possible. I put one of the old 10X Weaver K10s on and although it looks funny with all that scope the kids really like the Mini-Sniper... Yeah, that scope goes look studly!

How's about the CZ Trainer for her, those are neat little rifles, or are the stocks full sized on them? Really like the sights they put on them. Train her with irons first and then go to a scope. It will be a piece of cake for her then, and everybody should be able to shoot open sights well. I'm afraid it's becoming a lost art.

I have both and love them. The CZ will shoot anything I put in it but the 10/22 does not like some Remingtons or Winchesters. It feeds well with Federals and CCI. Both guns are accurate and a pleasure to shoot.

Purchased the Scout for my 6 year old Grand Daughter about 6 months ago, mounted a Leupold 4x Rimfire Special in Warne 7.3 rings. This scope set up fits well, a Nikon 2-7x, or Weaver 2.5-7 should do as well. Great little rifles.

I'm sure one will get more accuracy from the bolt action. If they would just tuck that clip/magazine up so it was flush with the flow of the stock, I'd think about one. Good shooting, 1Minute

I just gave my son one of these CZ's as well, and the drop at the heel is horrendous. In order to get it to fit I sawed the pistol grip in two just behind the tang and then installed a wedge to bring up the drop. Even after that I had to add a cheekpiece so that he could get a good cheek weld. Whoever did the design on this stock has his head up his azz, otherwise it's a slick little rig for the kids to learn on...my boy loves his.

Well, I finally got around to mounting the scope. I was having some interference with the rear sights on this setup, so I took a file to the sight. Problem solved. CZ 452 Pink Scout, Talley rings, Leupold 4x Rimfire...

Sweet rig for a sweet girl, no doubt! My son and I went squirrel hunting yesterday afternoon. He carried his Scout. Fun! He shot 4. I have a Leupold fixed 4x on it (not the rimfire). We stopped to make sure his gun was sighted in before hitting the woods. I am using the SK subsonic HP's in his rifle and in my Anschutz 54 Sporter. His gun shot lights out at 50 yards. You could cover a 5 shot group with a nickel. Here is the link for SK's: http://www.championshooters.com/store/product.php?productid=608Beware, the CCI 40 grain SS HP's are a tight fit in the Scout chamber. They will chamber in, but will not extract a live round because of the tight fit and single extractor (unlike my Anschutz with a double extractor). Getting them to chamber in the Anschutz was ridiculous. I now only use the CCI's in my .22 handguns.
