There are a lot of mistakes on a History channel show about snipers tonight. So far they have show some sort of Savage rifle that was described as a Remington M40, then they used a Red Dot scope as the target when duplicating the famous through the scope antisniper shot of Carlos Hathcock.

Lee, I've never attacked you personally, always felt your approach to the truth was something you couldn't help. However, I've more than a passing familiarity with the M 14, having qualified on it several times, even the E2 model. I think you need to google more on the weapon, and perhaps on Class III weapons.

If I go on with the other ten pages of this thread, is there anything that tops this, or should I just quit right here?

I didn't say that 1972 Lake City was loaded with a 168-gr Sierra, you dope. Read it again.

ODCMP was recently selling some of this. Buy some before posting about it.

I never said you claimed "1972 Lake City was loaded with a 168-gr Sierra".But you did say in post 3588669;
Quote
Lake City M118 7.62mm NATO Match is post 1980, using the 173-gr Sierra bullet.
...which is incorrect. It's a 173 FMJ made by LC not Sierra.
and in the same post you also said;
Quote
M118 Special Ball is from the mid 1960s, using the 172-gr FMJBT.
...which is also incorrect. M118 Match was produced during the 1960's and 70's. M118 Special Ball is from the 90's.

Don't worry all is not lost...you did offer some advice of value...

While I won't hitting up the CMP for their surplus ammo, I've decided I really don't have enough, and I'm appealing to Santa to draw some from the magazine and deliver it when he stops by this week.

Yes, I made a typo error with "173-gr Sierra".
If you had read my earlier posts, about the evolution of the M118 round from the M72 .30-06 round, you would know that I had already posted the correct bullets, case and powder load for all those rounds.

And you would know better than try to play "gotcha". You obviously don't have the direct knowledge of much of the subject matter, only about a few loads you have seen or shot. Most people don't, either, which is why I have described many more that you do not even know existed. I have shot all those rounds, and others I have not mentioned (neither have any of you armchair "experts"), and still have samples, boxes, cans and linked belts of most of them.

YOU at the "arm chair expert" AZZHAT.

When replying to your posts, GOTCHA is required.. They are so RIDDLED with made up facts(lies) and B.S .we all have to.You are so [bleep] ignorant, you can even google up the right pics!

You seriously NEED to go an play in the street with the OTHER children because you sure as hell cannot hang with the adults on this forum ,chief.

Just look at that first post of yours- pics of inaccurate configured "replica" rifles like the Sniper Central "maketing excercise" being passed of as "origionals' and MADE UP "facts" on your part about Bishop designing Remingon Stocks..

You are a WORLD CLASS DIPSCHIT ,Lee24. And a lying jackass to boot.

jim62, you have not brought one bit of factual information to this discussion, so you are at the bottom of the totem pole, below ground level. Your comments are generic.

I have made this observation before.

I believe that Lee24 is a chimera. I believe that either his sense of humor(?)or something else about him causes him to either enjoy or need getting everyone's hackles up. I believe that what he posts is specifically intended to have exactly the effect seen on this thread, and others. I believe that our skeptical and often angry posts are his thrills.

Really?

Go back and look at my first reply to this pathetic thread....

Your middle picture is one of an historically INNACCURATE "replica" of a m40.

Your asserion that EC BISHOP EVER had ANYHTING to do with the design of a factory made Remington stock is a pure LIE- it's fantasy.

Lee, you are gutless jerkoff and a moron. Your mother MUST have done drugs when she carried you during pregnancy, because you are ONE brain dead idiot.

Is that specific enough for you?

W,

You are giving the moron TOO much credit. He puts TOO much work into his "informative posts" made up of googled up "facts" trying to hide his lack of real knowledge on any subject...

He is just an intellectually insecure internet JERKOFF.

Now that is the biggest lie I've seen anywhere and proves lee has lost any grasp on reality.

No woman knows better than to argue, doesn't matter who or where or their qualifications, a woman will argue the sky is green and think she wins.

Ahhh! lee is a woman's name also, makes sense now.

EC Bishop stocks were used on 1903A3 Springfield rifles used in competition and training by the US Army and the USMC. I posted a photo of one of them, which I now own. It orginally had an M84 telescopic sight mounted on it, in a Redfield base and ring set.

The stocks on the early 7.62x51mm Model 700 rifles supplied to the military for training, match shooting, and combat use in Vietnam, employed a walnut stock of the same design, weight, length of pull, pitch, drop at heel, drop and comb, aluminum buttplate, and grip as the Bishop stock on those 1903A3 Springfield .30-06 rifles of the same era.

Some of the uninformed may choose to believe that is a coincidence, but I do not think it is.

WTF is this in ATGW?

I just kind of skimmed through but if I may paraphrase:

Lee is actually arguing with an active duty US military sniper currently deployed to Afghanistan about what rifles/ammunition said serviceman may have utilized in his duties (?)

I haven't decided is Lee is an alter-ego of someone here or a supertroll but, either way, the lack of respect shown a deployed serviceman is disturbing to me*.

* sure,it might be providing some much needed comic relieve for the guy but still...

have you no shame?

Same automotive engineers that designed a vette motor that has to be lifted off the motor mounts to change 2 spark plugs??

Anyway talking of "catching" ya... yep you posted about powder charges on loads when ANYONE that knows anything about military ammo knows its loaded by pressure specs and to quote a specific powder charge is ignorant since each lot will vary in the amount of powder in the case....
