I wouldn't overlook the Savage MK IIG w/ accu-trigger. With Christmas almost on us I expect there are some deals to be had out in the gun market.

I have a near mint Winchester single shot Model 67 with an excellent trigger. Reward for good trigger control. Weight is a hair ove 4 1/2 pounds and is very accurate.

Blue book is $255, and I'll let it go for that.

Still have my Marlin 15y. Single shot action and very easy for a youngster to operate. WAY more accurate than the little gun should be and mine actually has decent wood. Used it for everything from small game to shooting starlings on the fly with
22 shotshells. That was interesting to say the least.....
