Heck I was being kind and offering him a chance to let someone confirm he was on the AMU. I know I would be damn proud of that and have at least one photo of me in a team picture someplace. Im sure not everyone associated to the unit in 1968 was killed on a secret mission in an unnamed country.

By the way Lee I finally did the 100lb dumbell rows (I usually use 54lb kettlebell for stuff like that)and only managed 5 reps before my form became worthless, the gym did not even have the 120lb you use on your heavy days. If your 25 years older, 30 pounds lighter than me and use the 100lbs on your light days you are an animal. I will take my mere 335lb bench press and go hide if you actually show up someplace.

I don't know anything about sniper rifles or ammo, but Lee24 sure pulled the pin on a fantasy grenade and held it WAY too long.

Look, Man,

I know you invented the first cutter and helical index,

....that "Rifled" the first barrel ever made,

....as well it's really plain that you've participated in most evolutions of rifle development since.

Not meaning to distract you from this noble and lonely objective,

.....could you explain to me the difference between "Rimfire",

and "Centerfire"....?

You're my hero , Lee

keep up the good wqork

Kettlebells...hmmm..tempting threadjack.
They have made a comeback in the last few years.
Don't need as many different weights of them as you do dumbells to get a good, and different workout. Worked for George Hackenschmidt and Eugene Sandow, but they had genes going for them, too.

I just refuse to believe anyone as smart as Lee would have to be, to know as much as he knows, would be here arguing on the internet instead of building nuclear reactors.

Lee, may I ask what your age is?

I'm not sure anyone knows. I'm guessing though, that Lee and God were childhood buddies. Lee would give tips and pointers to little God and they would play games together. No matter how many points Lee would spot God, God always came in second. Frustrating times for God.

The Military Channel just had a promo for a special on Sapper School. Seeing how Lee is an engineer and tougher than John J. Rambo he probibly trained the Sapper School instructors during his lunch breaks while training the Sniper School instructors. Luckiely neither of these additional duties took away from his ROTC field trip to the AMU before they promoted him to TAG of the SC National Guard. Unfortunately the Congress (being full of cowards) would not give him his Fed Req so he was demoted to E4 for the past 41 years. Luckily he has the number one PT score for his age in the US Military.

Greatfully to the creator (lee?) I am smart enough to understand his brillance, so complete admoration is a given.

My 1903A3, which I posted to show the same Bishop stock worn by the initial Remington 700s of the Vietnam ( and the .30-06 match rifles used stateside), was "restocked" (from 1903A4 sniper stock). I don't need to use Google, but if you want to believe the postings of some wannabe who was not even born in the 1960s, vs the direct knowledge of myself, go ahead. I can often use Google, NEXIS, or some photo service on the Internet to point you to the original words of others.

EC Bishop stocks were used on 1903A3 Springfield rifles used in competition and training by the US Army and the USMC. I posted a photo of one of them, which I now own. It orginally had an M84 telescopic sight mounted on it, in a Redfield base and ring set.

Let me understand this correctly. That Springfield on the first first page was an A3 that was stocked as an A4 AND scoped with an M84, which was then restocked with a Bishop Sporter stock?

That Bishop stock looks like any number of Monte Carlo stocks that were being produced back in the 1960's. The standard Remington Monte Carlo stocks are a closer match to the M40 pattern (sans checkering, grip and fore end caps, and shiny finish).

Here's what Senich said about the Remington records of the M40 stocks;
Quote
The walnut stock, a sporter-type with an integral cheek rest (Monte Carlo style with cheekpiece), was described by Remington as a "ADL type for 5-round BDL-type magazine, no fore end tip or grip cap, 13-3/8 inch length of pull (factory standard), no checkering, non-detachable swivels, oil finish"
