Counted my rimfires today... Why would you want to do that? Is that for bragging purposes? I just don't feel the need!

3sixbits: I am not "bragging" but I have 41 Rifles and pistols in caliber 22 L.R. (24 Rifles and 17 pistols!)! Then in 17 HMR I have 1 Rifle and 1 pistol. Then in 22 Magnum I have 1 Rifle and 3 pistols. And I just got a new Rifle in 17 Mach2. For a total of 46 rimfires. I "felt the need" - I guess? Long live RIMFIRES! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Sportingspecialist of the rifles ,Which two do you like best? That's a tough question to answer.I like them all and for different reasons. One prerequisite is accuracy. If a gun isn't accurate,it holds no appeal to me. The Anschutz displays German precision. The Coopers incorporate accuracy with Classic styling. The Winchester 52's and 75 are timeless designs, that for decades set the standard for accuracy as well as American Classic design. The Sako is unique in that it is a switch barrel. The NULA is hand made and assembled by a true crafstman Melvin Forbes, who takes pride in his work. So if I had to choose just two,I couldn't do it!

Farming: Love to. Its a tough one but of all my rimfire Rifles and pistols my two favorites would have to be - #1 My Ruger 77/17 V/T in 17 HMR and #2 My Remington 40X in 22 L.R.? I REALLY enjoy all of my rimfires and that was a HARD task singling out just TWO! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Down to four, currently. That may change as soon as tomorrow, dunno for sure.
Remington M24 gallery gun (.22 short only) Marlin 60 (first gun I could call my own) 10/22 DSP Marlin 17V .17 HMR
Had a couple of 77/22s, an old High Standard pumpgun, a raft of other 10/22s, a S&W 18, and a 622, Ruger Single Six, a crapload of Mk II Ruger autopistols, a whole bunch over the years. Kinda looking at a Marlin .22 Magnum right now, will probably buy one tomorrow.
Rimfires come and rimfires go, some hang around.
You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Favorites? Prolly a LH CZ 452 American and the 60 year old Marlin 39A, Bearcat if I am fishin. Gezzz maybe the Remington 512 made the month year I was born or the Rem 33 dad gave me. Not much cooler than a old Winchester pump or handier than a Savage 24 in 22/410, and so forth. How does a guy just pick two?

Turns out I have 13:
How many do you have? You've got me beat by a few (not many though ), but I'm in sell down mode right now and just unloaded a few. A few more are slated to go, including a Win 94/22, a Kimber rifle, a slightly tweaked 10/22, a Ruger Mark 2 pistol, an Anschutz sporter.... When I'm "done", I plan on being down to about three or four that I actually use.

Just the one Anschutz 1913 Lefty. Absolutely heart-broken about the possibility of having to sell it... Got me thinking about another topic for a thread... Any particular rifle/pistol/shotgun you sold that you really wish you hadn't? Maybe I'll try that tomorrow...
