Been thinking about taking a trip to TX for some hog hunting. Any body out there have any recommendations? Not looking for trophy hogs, just nice sized eater pigs. The hunt would involve my son and I. Would like to keep it under $1400 for the two of us.

There are lots of places. Check out www.texaswildhoghunting.com. May not be what you want but I've known Joe all his life and he runs a decent operation. He isn't but a few miles from me. I'm not shilling for him and have absolutely no interest in the deal just telling you what I know.

I just got back from a place I had fun and it will be in your budget including lodging and most meals. 500 a piece for 2 day hunt. I'll send you a PM with a link and you can contact me for particulars. I have photos of the lodge and some hunt pics etc.

Here is where we hunted in 2006. All the hogs you wanted to shoot, plus javelina and varmints. Little more than you wanted to spend, but you might contact Chris about a father/son discount. Here is some pics.

We took 6 hogs and 2 javies in 3 days of hunting. Here is the website.
