Was wondering what rings and bases you would suggest on a TC Prohunter in 25-06? Any suggestions on what scope under 400.00 for the same combination? Thanks

I have the Leopold "quick Release" (QR) on 7 barrels. The eye relief is just fine for up to the Leopold 3x-10X.
I prefer Leopolds but the Nikon Scope may fit your budget. The Nikon scopes have large occular eye pieces so you will have to have the T-C swing hammer on your frame just to be able to cock the hammer.
The extra length of the T/C pro hunter barrel really speeds up the 25-06. My 25-06 pro hunter barrel clocks 3090 with a 120 gr Hornady hp.

Doctor Encore, do you have one scope with the quick release rings, and only bases on all the barrels or do they all wear their own scopes? Any chance on sharing some pet loads for the 25-06? Just picked one up 2 days ago and still trying to decide on some good loads. Was thinking about either 100 or 125 grain ballistic tips, 120 gr sierra hollow point boattails or 115 grain Berger VLD's. I have been shooting the 168 Bergers in my 300 RUM and have had nothing but incredible results and this year loaded 120 Ballistic tips in my wife and neice's 7mm-08 with outstanding results. Was also trying to find a good varmit load so any info would be appreciated ! Thanks Dr. E

www.sskindustries.comI run the T'SOB base with 3-4 rings. Never had any troubles.

RTSJ,
Each of my barrels has its own scope and forearm. I do not swap scopes but I can take each rifle apart and place the rifle in a shotgun take down case for travel. Easy to just drop the scope into the QR base and lock the levers.
My 25-06 loads are 54.0 of H-4831sc with a Hornady 120gr Hp.
My other load is 53.0 of H-4831sc and Barnes 100 gr TSX or TTSX loaded .005 off the lands.
I have a 250-3000 barrel from the T-C custom shop and it is a MOA barrel as well.
The T/C barrels prefer the bullets kissing the lands except for the Barnes bullets of course.
Be sure your clean the barrel before signting it in..The barrels are proof tested and are packed un-cleaned. T-C button rifles their barrels and I shot 120+ rounds before it started to clean up easily.

I like the Talley combined base and rings. Lower half of rings and bases are one solid piece. Base is also cantilevered in back so that the scope can sit closer to the shooter's eye. I like them so well that I have them on four encore barrels. My most recent one is a Bergara cut down to 20" in .223 that just printed a 0.09" three shot group at 100 yards. As far as scopes go, I like the top end Vortex scopes. Great value. Try Liberty Optics online as a source (libertyoptics.com). Good luck. Elk

I use the Leupold dual dove-tail base with medium rings. I can still get my thumb under the scope to pull back the hammer. I also use the 1 piece Talley low mounts for my Leupold 1-4x20 scopes. None of my Encores are the pro-hunter ambidextrous hammer. Each barrel has it's own scope. I also use the quick release forend on all my rifles. Just use a quarter and pop the pin. quick barrel change. You just have to buy more studs for your other barrels.

I use an evolution gun works picatinny base & Burris signature zee rings. I really like the setup.
