Congratulations guys. I bet the boy is on cloud nine. Maybe higher than Dad? Looks like a big bodied deer.

Looks like a happy hunter, congrats to you both.

Now that's the way to bond and make memories... something that only you and him share. I have a 10 year old son who I'm taking this next season for his first hunt, can't wait! I'm surprising him this week with his very first rifle that will be his alone and tailored to him. Congrats to the young lad!

Now that is a happy youngman and a proud dad!
Ryan, I can remember every deer my boys have taken. I can remember the distance, the caliber, the weather, every detail.
Enjoy this hunt forever.
Great job!

Nice going and congrats to both of you. Nice paint job on the M7.

Good shooting. Sure wish they made those Model 7s in a lefty. Pretty cool to shoot a hog and a deer. You have the ingredients for sausage all right there!

thanks again everyone. It is something that I will never forget, and I hope he doesn't either. And, hopefully, there will be many more to come!
Grizzly Bill - thanks for the compliment on the paint job, I figured I didn't have anything to lose by trying, ha. It did turn out pretty good for a beginner.
For those interested, I am posting another thread on the performance of the 60 gr partition in this forum with pics. It will be up in a sec.

My niece's 10yr old named Kole got his first deer this year, a 9point. My neighbor's 10yr old named Cole stopped by with his first deer, a huge 8point. My 11yr old granddaughter did not score yet, but we have through Sun for a doe.
Great pic and a moment that he will never forget. Congrats. Life is good.
Time spent hunting/fishing with youngsters is better than time spent looking for them.

RyanTX; Thank you for sharing your son's first buck with us. I love that photo, it is a trophy photo of the first order. Please pass along congratulations on the fine shooting and the nice buck. I'll send you a tip of the hat as well for taking the time to train and teach our next generation of hunters. Well done sir! All the best to you and yours in 2010. Dwayne
