Ah, you went with the heavier stuff, NICE! I dig Ruger rifles, almost as much as I do Marlins. Savage is still tops, even for the bolts, the bolt guns are the Chevy 350 of the rifle world.  Les are you saying that savage is bankrupt and is getting gov. help! Or, could it be that you are saying the savages are like chevy's.. not worth a siht! Anyway, those old humpback things arent worth anything-- all they are good for are trotline weights and boat anchors.

Anyway, those old humpback things arent worth anything-- all they are good for are trotline weights and boat anchors. Some of the bubbafied 99s make good tomato stakes too.

I'll still stick with my Winchester 94. Ain't no rattles in my WWII produced version.
Those Savages always look all hump-backed to me. Nothing sleek looking there. Humped back? That's a good description of the Browning BLR. The Win 94 exhibited grace and style. I've owned Savages and find them graceful and smooth.
