I know Williams stopped making the M70 bottom metal in stainless. Anyone know why by the way?

Where else can I find one-piece, stainless, bottom metal for the SA M70 without sending Sunny Hill $500 for one??!!

They stopped making them because lack of affordable raw materials.

They might, but I think that would be a cast part and that won't do.

Doesn't leave very many options other than getting a in the white Willams and having it coated with something like NP3 or maybe even Cerakote in a stainless finish.

you could buy one from Blackburn

It would cost you some money, but not $500. Model 7SS

Just got off the phone with Blackburn. He no longer makes them in stainless. He said that most of the guys were just coating them to look like stainless. Too bad. frown

Well, I just got an email from Maggie, Ted's daughter. For some reason her computer isn't working properly to be able to get on here to reply.

She tells me she has 1 short action stainless model 70 floor metal left. It is made from 303 stainless steel. she said you should call her TALK TO MAGGIE
AT 435-623-1388.

Make sure and speak with Maggie.

(by the way, I know for a fact that these guards are not made from some kind of colored steel because I am the one who procured the 303 stainless for them for a short run of stainless. I have one, a 303 stainless, in the #3 size.
Here is a photo of it.
