My wife and I inadvertently bought each other the same gifts for Christmas. We each got a netbook. Her HP came with a Verizon Wireless device, My Toshiba did not. I have a wireless device from Verizon but I have no way to insert the required disk for VX Access. Do I need an accessory dosk drive that plugs into the USB port?

Normally, you can copy the installation cd in its entirety to a usb memory stick.
Then, use Windows Explorer to run setup.exe (or install.exe, or launch.bat or whatever) from the memory stick on the computer with no cd drive.

What John said. I carry all of my netbook software on a SD card. My Verizon software, restore image, mapping, all my drivers and Portable Apps Suite are on the card. Actually, I have 2 cards setup just in case.

Is the "wireless devise" you have a phone or a network card? The reason I ask is around here Verizon charges extra for "tethering" - using a cell phone as a modem.
