I'm thinking about having the bolt body from my factory 700 CDL Ti fluted by Kampfeld. I'd have the jewelling removed and would go with semi-polished flutes and a semi-polished bolt body. Anyone have this done to their CDL and has pics? Any thoughts? Thanks much.
i'm going to straight flute my bolt to match the flutes i'm going to cut into my barrel. then send everything off to get parked black. when i get it all back, the bolt gets put on a lathe, spun and polished so i can rejewel the body, leaving the flutes black.
Here are a couple that Karl has done. #1 is a 7mm-08 that started out as a CDL, has Ti flutes and much other stuff done to it by Karl. #2 is a .223 LVSF with Ti flute and Campfire knob done by Karl.

Anyone think semi-polished Ti flutes with a semi-polished bolt body on a factory CDL(black metal and wood stock) will look equally as appealing as the above rigs?

Yes - see attached. This is a CDL SA fluted by Karl. Sorry about the poor picture, never have figured out how to post a pic versus just attaching it?? Anyway, I think it looks pretty good:)

Hard to tell in the picture sorry about that. The bolt is just fluted and rough polished. The action is factory, it has since been Cerakoted graphite black but in this picture is was just plane Remington factory.
