Thought I would ask this group for some help.

My son graduates in May with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Valparaiso University. He is a smart, extremely dedicated and hard working 22 year old. He has manufacturing experience and though he would prefer a rural setting he is open to work anywhere. Montana or Wyoming would be great but Texas or New York works too. Heavy equipment and energy are his favorites. He is an outdoors guy and has been my hunting partner since he was five so I am a bit partial.

To add a bit of spice to this I am offering up a "Thank you" from deep down and a VXIII 3.5X10 Leupold scope or a $300 donation to the charity of choice to the person that helps him get a job. Payable on his first day of work.

Moderators, if this posting is out of line let me know and I apologize.

Check with TVA. East TN is beautiful and they are always hiring engineers. The rest of the south isn't that bad either. My mother-in-law works in HR. Let me know if I can help.

A huge THANK YOU to all of you that responded. Your input helped my son to generate nearly 20 unique potential employers. He knows that this is only the beginning of the search but your help gave him a jump start on the process. Take care all of you and I will keep you posted.

This has to be one of the best posts on here!!! People helping people. Good luck with your sons new venture. I went through this same thing. Jake ended up with Springfield Armory and is in Vegas doing the Shot Show this week. You allways want better for your children than for yourself! Good Luck

Send me a PM and let me know where to email you. I'll try to help out, and you don't owe me anything.
