There is actually a lot of elevation change in NC, TN, VA and SC.
Many short, 10-mile hikes have ups and downs of 2,500 to 3,500 feet. Those who have never hunted or camped there might be surprised at trails rising 2,500 feet in 3 miles, waterfalls of 300 feet, and the many cliffs and escarpments to navigate.

By the way, I have lived in Colorado, Wyoming and Texas, and run all those mountains, as well as New Mexico, Montana, Idaho while working out there.

Mount Rogers, VA is not far from High Point, NC (which is pretty flat). Go hike it.

I am sure that you have never made that short trip from the border to the Baja to fish the saltwater. Next thing you know people from washington will know nothing about fishing for salmon.

Ive lived in Montana for a number of decades now...and I'm not quite finished running the mountains in just this state..

And to have to put up with having the GC to hike in, San diego 5 hrs away, the Baja less than 4 hrs.

I don't have you childish insecurity to post a fish picture in a thread that about military rifles. Maybe that's because I already posted some of what I know and did on the thread topic. Try it sometime.

You don't want every pisture I ever took, bandwidth and all. I could say the obvious about you and pics but I'm talking to a construct.

If you want to play the picture game, I'll play, and to win.

Heck the baja is an hour and a half closer than the GC is, 3 1/2 hrs to get there, because there is a sliver of Mexico seperating my state I guess it is landlocked. To bad you can't enjoy the benefits of Az like myself, sorry your jealous.
