It's damn slow right now.

Surveying's an art form here. None of that trivial quarter corner B.S.

We got pine knots, staubs, draws, ridges, creeks, "old roads", "older roads" and the fenceline as it existed before the new fence.

Chains, poles, rods. Quadrant based direction. Ordinal based. Azimuths.

When you do deed retracements, you need to think like an 1850's farmer.

The only time Public Land Surveys get interesting is when someone screwed up a monument. wink

A screwed up monument? lol.

The core of engineers missed the four corners monument, but only by 100 yards or so!

So all you doggystylers that thought you were banging in four states at the same time, were doing it wrong!

Acctually the location might be off of where it was intended to be but that is where it was originally set so it is right no matter what. The original monuments have know error unless they were set neglegently which it wasn't.

There is a saying up here that meetes and bounds surveyors might as well call themselves hopes and wishes surveyors. grin
