I have a savage model 16 FHSS 22-250 W/ Accustock & Accutrigger . Its all factory w/ a 1 in 10" twist. 22" barrel. Mounted with a Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x40. What is the heaviest bullet this will stabilize? What would you shoot through this set-up?

Treestands don't demand. Treestands don't complain. Treestands simply ask me to sit down and listen.

My 5,6x57 with the same twist stabilizes the 65gr Sierra Gameking bullet and does not stabilize the 75gr Hornady A-Max.
The speed I get with it is 100-150 fps over 22-250 maximun loads.

My 22-250AI is twisted 1-8" and shoots 55's and 62's and 75's well.

I have a custom 1 in 10" twist 22-250 which I am still developing loads for. I haven't found a super accurate load yet but it appears to have no problems stabilising 60gn Partitions, 65gn Gamekings and 69Gn Matchkings.

I would think mid to upper 60's as well. Should be good as long as they aren't the VLD type bullets. I am loving the 60gr VMax's at the moment, but the coyotes aren't.
