The Kahr is a nice gun but the trigger and reset sucks. I guess that depends. For someone like myself, who "cut his teeth" on Smith & Wesson double action revolvers, the reset seems just right.

S&W M&P Models are fantastic IMHO I agree. Far better natural pointers than Glocks, and this helps with being able to put rounds where you want them.

I carry a G30 in a MTAC IWB holster. It works for me, I wear XL sized gloves and smaller weapons just don't fit my hand well. I could like the G29, but I like being able to get ammo just about anywhere I go. 11 rounds of .45 in a midsize package, that is fairly mild recoiling and decently accurate.
I tried a Kahr cw9 for a while, the trigger was to close for me, and the low capacity of the single stack magazine just did not comfort me the way the glock did. I will admit it was lighter on the hip, but the way I dress, it is just as easy to carry the glock.

thanks to all for your input. What do you know of the G36? I like 40 cal. I have a G22 but is too bulky and heavy for a carry weapon. I've shot a G36 and like the gun but have never owned one. Some day I'd like to give one a try, I do like the 45 ACP caliber. From the Glock Talk forum the G36 is probably the most controversial as far as reliability. Some love them and some hate them. It's slightly slimmer then the G23 but about the same external dimensions. My choice would be the G23, twice the firepower in about the same size package. 270

I have several options in CCW and actually prefer my 1911's, but my G23 and G30 both see their fair share of time in Kramer horsehide IWB,
Hell my GF usually has my G30 with the Kramer combo. And if her 5'8" 130# ass can hide it easily (she isnt a fan of real baggy clothes either) almost all of us can.

If I'm not carrying some version of a 1911, then it's a Glock 27........carries & conceals just fine for me.
Very accurate a PD ranges & mine's been 100% reliable & trouble free.......tuned the trigger a bit & like it much better since. Also took the rough edges & some of the serrations off the trigger.

I carry my Glock model 21-SF in a cross-draw rig, so sitting in the vehicle presents no problems with a quick draw. I also carry the model 29 (10mm cal) on my right hip as a back up.

Glock 27 for me. I have a G22 also but harder to hide. Carry it some during fall/winter with a jacket but otherwise the 27. Several different belt & paddle holsters and a pocket holster with larger pocketed jeans & shorts. Usually a flush fit mag in the gun and one or two +1 mags (or the 15rd G22 mags) for backup. No question GO WITH THE NIGHT SIGHTS. Carry it all day every day & never know it's there.

I carry the 19 also. Subcompact is just too small. The larger 19 is still very concealable on the average person - accurate too, with practice.

I carry a 30 (.45acp) everyday all day. It's not really that much bigger than the 9mm/40 sub compact.
I tried the 36 but it just didn't fit as good on the hands.
It's accurate enough. I've shot a crapload of pigs with it as well.

I know this is a Glock discussion, but there are many better, IMO. These start w/ the 1911s, Sigs. I've been carrying 1911s for years, no issues.

I have a few pistols that I have carried concealed. One of them is a full sized 1911 Govt. Mod. in caliber .45, love that gun. The other one is a Browning Hi Power that was customized by Arizona pistol smith Don Williams, love that pistol. The little J frame 640 drops in a pocket, gotta love that. The Glock 36 is carried the most. It is light weight, shoots better then it should, always goes bang when I press the trigger and holds 7 .45 rounds. It is stock except for the tritium XS Express rear sight and standard white front dot with tritium insert. It is a reasonably priced and reliable .45 that is accurate enough for about any self defense situation. It is good enough right out of the box. Mine rides in a black Kramer Horsehide IWB #3.
