I bought all the goodies that all you posters gave me[dewey rods, sweets, etc] but concerned about cleaning the bore from the breech end. Does anyone make a bore guide for a 1895 lever? Suggestions about using all my new cleaning supplies?

If you are needing a bore guide, then you are cleaning if from the bbl end and any ole bore guide will work.
Clean it from the breech end, by taking your lever off and the bolt will come out. This is the best way to preserve your bore.

Slinky-WHAT? I don't understand what you wrote, if you are cleaning it from the muzzle end you cannot use a bore guide. (at least the one's I am thinking of.)
Tarus- If you are cleaning from the breech end, you really don't NEED a bore guide, most people (at least me) use the bore guide to prevent their sopping wet patches from drooling onto the trigger area. Just dampen your patch and run through from breech end don't worry about it too bady, your not gonna hurt anything as long as you are careful. Many many people for a long long time have not used one and they shoot their rifles just fine. A bore guide is a relatively "modern" and "in" thing to use.
Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.
When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.
PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

A cheap one can be made from a 308/30-06 case. Saw it in half, slip the front(neck down portion) of the case over your cleaning rod, and screw your brush back on. Slid the case(.30 cal.end into the muzzle and clean away.

After removing the lever and bolt be sure to take out hte ejector and its attached leaf spring. It is small and easy to lose. I use a bore guide for cleaning any rifle, even from the breech. Bore guides are kind to the chamber and crown of the rifling. Homemade ones are easy to make from a piece of hardwood with a 1/4" hole through the center for the cleaning rod and the outside turned down to bolt diameter. Hope this helps, curmudgeon
