Get over it or..........prove me wrong It has been increasingly socialist, yes, since the graduated income tax and central monetary planning at the Federal Reserve (around 1913). We've been reaping the consequences ever since.

I believe when someone makes and accusation as you have that the burden of proof is on you bud.
Every country with any form of government is going to have some socialist qualities. But the fact remains that the examples of capitalism outnumber socialism by 10 to 1.

The Us government has never paid a farmer to grow nothing or susidized growing a crop...........say corn or sugar crops. right?

The US is not socialist, just the government. If the US was socialist we could not afford to have the criminal out of control government we have.

Yes to all, and yes there is public heath care, but we do have the right to chose. and yes farmers have been paid to grow crops but for everyone that is paid to do that there is 10+ that are not. and for every company that has recieved a bailout or government assistance there are 1000's that have not.

Steve, I've been in private industry for 22 years. I love capitalism and a representative democracy. As I look at what is going on in this country, if it isn't socialism, it sure looks and smells like socialism. And not to rain on anyones parade, but in 2007, 40% of all farms received government aid. http://www.ers.usda.gov/Briefing/FarmPolicy/Gov-Pay.htmSocialism, pretty much around the corner.

Get over it or..........prove me wrong Yes, the US is a socialist country. Our brand of socialism is fascism. Our brand of fascism is different from the Nazi and, Italian brand. We at least try to pretend we have freedom and at least at this point, aren't putting people into slave labor camps or extermination camps. However, slave labor camps and extermination camps maybe just around the corner.
