I have a Model 700 7mm Mag that I am looking to sell. The rifle has been Teflon coated from Black Ice Coatings, I had a "trigger job" done on the factory trigger. The gunsmith polished it along w/ setting it to a 3# pull. I would rate the stock at 90-95% due to a few scratches. Of course the metal is pristine. This is just for the rifle w/ no scope or rings. It probably dosent matter, but the rifle is a great shooter w/ under 1" moa. What do you think?

If that. The metal finish and the less-than-pristine stock don't help, and the 7mm Remington Mag isn't the most desirable chambering in the Classics.

700 Classic collectors seem to be interested in caliber first, then condition. Some calibers seem to be pretty much ignored.

OK..Thank You. I didnt know what to ask for it. I put it in the Free Classifieds for $695.00. Maybe I should adjust the price.

Greenbrier-
The 7mm Classic in splendid shape should fetch around $525-575ish. The coating, for the most part, no longer makes it a Classic to the Classic collector. To the right person though, it's a fine 700 in a classic caliber that's been coated and sports a Classic stock - much depends on the buyer.

Since the original posters question was answered, what about a 6.5X55 Swede in the original unused classic stock? Gun has been used but in a different stock. Metal very good but not perfect.

I was following a 6.5X55 on gunbroker this weekend, that sounds as if it was not as quite as good as yours...and it went for $655

Factory guns in 6.5 Swede seem to be fetching some higher than standard prices lately. I've been looking as well and am pretty sure I saw that same one.

Caliber sseems to be everything with the classics. The .300 Savages seem to be everywhere at low prices, even in NIB condition, while the .257,.250-300, 7x57, and .350 Mags seem to command top $$$.
