Im thinking of having my first custom built. Planning on it being a tactical rifle in a McMillan M40A1 stock i think. 7 rem mag and smithed by HCR. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with them ? Thanks

They are a bit pricey but they do good work.
I had them do their accurizing service on a Model 700 .270 a few years back and it turned out great.
Came back sub MOA with a variety of loads and the bedding was top notch!

I have owned 3 HCR rifles and all shot lights out. They do excellent work IMHO.

Had two rifles accurized by HCR, and they now shoot far better than I can hold the rifles, like 1/4" for 3 shots at 100 yards. One, I was able to squeak out a .147", 3 shot group at 100 yards when I was having a hot day shooting. I just can't shoot sporters better than that.

They do great work and Matt knows his stuff. Yes, they might be a little pricey compared to some, not as much as others. Cry once and you'll never regret it!

there was a long (like 3 years of replies) thread here a week ago on HCR. It's still probably on the first 4-5 pages.
They do good work was the consensus (they've done 3 for me and have 2 more now)
