Nothing in that list. Hopefully the 84L Montana will debut late in the year.

I've already got a Kimber 84L on order in 25-06.
I'd be interested in the Merkel if I thought I could afford it.

I always thought the Winchester Stainless/wood featherweights were the prettiest factory rifle ever produced. I'm sure happy to see them being made again....Dave I saw that somewhere, but I thought it was a "Shot Show Special," not a standard cataloged item. I could go for one in .308 or '06.

The Ruger African blueprint, I think, is a pretty good one. If I wanted a magnum I'd be interested.
Why can't they make a similar model in normal calibers like 243 and 308?

From the information I have available at the moment, I only see the 700 VTR being offered with the integral muzzle brake on the triangular barrel. You can get traditional barrels, without muzzle brakes, in the 700 SF, VL SS and VS SF II models.

The Ruger African is only offered in 300 Wiin Mag, 338 Win Mag and 375 Ruger. The Standard, All-Weather, Left-Hand Standard, Ultra Light, Compact, Laminate Compact, Tactical, Sporter and International are all chambered in 243 and 308.

The only stainless-barreled Model 70s offered as a standard product for 2010 are the Extreme Weather SS and the Coyote Light. No wood/stainless offerings yet.

Some vague interest in the T/C Venture, but only because it will be a 1-10" twist in .204, they have normally been 1-12". Otherwise, T/Cs leave me colder than Hillary's heart.
Then again, Savage is going to one-up them with a 1-9" twist .204, so we can finally use ALL the bullets available, including that 55gr. Berger.

The TC Ventures aren't too bad. I'd like to have a look at one in .22-250.

The Winchester Model 70 Stainless/wood featherweights may not be a part of the regular 2010 production, but at least some were produced again.
I can only assume that means they're GOING to be a regular production item in the near future.
Am I wrong in that assumption?
I'll sure be dissapointed if they're not.

If only cuz the African models tend to get nicer wood. From what I saw anyway.

Model 70 stainless featherweights aren't in the 2010 catalogue or press materials, so my assumption is that it may be another year. Haven't asked them specifically about that.
If they do bring it out, I may be standing in line.
