I put a 1.25-4 Elite 4200 on my 416 Rigby, worked out pretty well.

1.5X4.5 Nikon Monarch Slug gun scope
2.5X8 Leupold VariXIII

Used both for hundreds of rounds through a variety of hard kicking guns (including light weight 12 ga. slug guns) with nary a problem.

They must have improved them! When the alloy tube model was first released back onto the market (mid-90's) I promptly destroyed 1, and then another 2 ... all under warranty. Not one lasted over 20 rounds from a 458WinMag.
Cheers...

This is the new model, I bought three of them and they are all on big bores and all going strong.

Modern construction methods are based on epoxy glues, and are lessing the difference in durability between scopes of varying cost.

But, of course the optics and the coatings that govern light transmission are much better in the costlier brands.

Who makes a QD scope mount for the CZ'z dovetail system?

Talley QD's are pretty good; I've had Warne's as well and they are servicable, but heavier than the Talley's.

1.5 x 5 vari x 111 is hard to beat. 2nd choice 1 x 4 leupy best for the buck IMO. I have managed to break one like safariman said from a side impact it was a 3 x 9 compact thou.

Thank you for the mount info, they didn't make one for the CZ when I was buying my first set.

Warne's are heavier, good, I never object to adding weight to my 416 - LOL.

I used a Leupold Euro-30 1.25-4x20 with a German #4 reticle. It's on a CZ 550 .375H&H. Performed flawlessly in South Africa. Never lost zero. I have it mounted with Warne quick detach rings (I have a little Nikon 3x9 for thumping whitetails and hogs when I get the urge) I switch the scopes regularly and they hold zero.

Zeiss Conquest 1.8-5.5; long tube, heavy scope. My 550 in 375 H&H runs 10.6lbs empty with that scope mounted in Burris rings.

You can't destroy a good scope with a 40 caliber..Scope destruction starts with a fully loaded 458 Lott and up..weight of the 458 Lott and up can magnify the effect to a good degree..but IMO a hot loaded Lott, 500 or 505 should be iron sighted, or receiver sighted..they are not particularly long range rifles anyway and function is first and foremost with these guns.

Nikon Monarch 2.5X10-50MM on my CZ550 375H&H. I like this scope very much paid 850 canadian for it. I like the Nikon more than my (shall I dare say it?)3 other VXIII Leupolds which are all Long Range with AO.

Several have mentioned Talley QD mounts. Brownells catalog says these fit Talley bases only. Do they fit on the CZ integral bases?

I used a 2 1/2X Lyman All American Perma Center on my ZKK 602 .375 H&H for years, using the BRNO rings which came with the rifle.

I am presently having the rifle rebarrelled to .500 Jeffery, and I expect I'll go with a Leupold 1 1/2-5X Vari-X III in Talley rings when it returns.

Make sure you use a scope with enough eye relief.

On my 550FS 9.3X62 I have a long tube Leupold M8 4X. I bought it new in 1972 and have long since lost track of how many rifles it has been on.

Does your 602 have the pop up peep? I don't know what years they put them on.

CZ 602 375 H&H 1-4 VXII, CZ 602 custom 510 WELLS 1-4 VXII. 12 years nothing has come loose or required servicing. Use 30mm red dot on lesser rifles, often wondered how they would handle recoil at the top end. Any thoughts or experience ?
