Never owned one, but my first 10/22 finally arrived today. Only thing factory is the magazine but I LOVE this thing already. Wasn't quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I can see what all the fuss is about. Tactical solution X-Ring Receiver Tactical solution Barrel & Compensator Volquartsen trigger Raptor Stock

I wasn't sure about the stock, never shouldered one. But it's probably the most comfortable gun I've ever shouldered.
Ran a couple magazines to just check the function and it worked great. Thinking a Mueller APT 4.5-14 is going to go on it. Hear a lot of good feedback at rimfire about them and the price is decent.
-17 below here this morning, so no range reports anytime soon. My range is also under about 3' of snow right now. Thinking my nephews are going to love it when I see them next.

Is it even fair to call it a 10/22 any longer??? Well I guess you did not call it a Ruger 10/22 so all is good!

Did you build this, have it built, or what? How much invested so far? Reasoning, I was thinking of getting one of the 10/22 target models

Doesn't look to "left hand" friendly!
I bet the nephews will enjoy that beauty.

Did you build this, have it built, or what? How much invested so far? Reasoning, I was thinking of getting one of the 10/22 target models I stumbled across it on another forum, the guy had a couple of them built up the same. Pricing out the parts it'd cost a little over a grand with no shipping. I gave about 1/2 of that, still spendy and I was questioning myself when I said I'd take it, but I really top of the line and looks great. Picture really doesn't do it justice. And NO, it's not left hand friendly. Anyone looking for an upgrade 10/22 stock should really look into one of these.

Cal74: Wowsers on your Rifle! That has to be one of the top three coolest looking "10/22's" I have ever seen! And I have seen a LOT of cool looking Ruger 10/22's! I remember MANY years ago one of my fellow "gun-nuts" complimenting me on my "cool looking" Ruger 10/22! Mine was simply a factory Ruger 10/22 Deluxe (walnut stocked and checkered blued barrel model - I don't think they made stainless models way back then!) that I replaced the standard sporter barrel with a Lilja LONG heavy stainless barrel! I had a close friend who is a custom stock maker take a "few minutes" and professionally bed the barrel channel to the new heavy Lilja stainless barrel. That was it - and that, back then garnered an ooh and an aah from a pretty savy guncrank! Your Rifle makes my Ruger 10/22 "custom" look droll! Best of luck with your new and GREAT looking Rifle! I hope it shoots as well as it looks. Be sure to let us know how it works/shoots for you. What scope are you contemplating using on it by the way? Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Cal74: Thank you for that additional posting regarding the pricing - I appreciate that and think you got a GREAT deal on your Rifle as well. Back when I put together my "custom" 10/22 the Deluxe Rifle alone cost $129.00 and the Lilja heavy stainless match chambered barrel was $249.00! And that $370.00 total did not include tax or the $40.00 I think I paid the Riflesmith to bed the new barrel into the "standard" Deluxe stock! We're then talking $450.00 in 1980's dollars! Yeah you got a great deal. Do they have any left? Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Thanks for the compliments, besides my XP-100's this is my new favorite gun. I can't wait to get out and shoot it, if it ever warms up that is? I can't get over how comfortable the stock is and it while it's very light overall, it balances nicely and feels very very nice overall.
Guy doesn't have any more for sale, but I'll ask. I think he has two others built up similarly?
I received some rings today from a fellow forum member, was going to order a Mueller APT scope today, but I'm headed to a gun show tomorrow and will see if by chance there might actually be a deal on a scope there?
