We had some big time moonshiner near Wilson NC named Percy Flowers....it trickled down from his operation usually...he was big time back in the day...
Then we got some from a runner in western NC...
Bought a car from a moonshine runner in Ga. when I lived there, a chevy supersport convertibvle with a mongo engine...Feds used to stop us every time we went into the woods with that car it seemed.....

My bud that I hunt with in Franklin county dad built the motors in a bunch of shine running cars. He's in his 70s now and only has the use of one hand but is still magic with a wrench!

Before the widespread use of cars Grampa here in MT used to "deliver" goods in a buckboard during the depression, wearing a buffalo robe coat in the winter.
