Didn't realize they weren't manufacturing in that building yet. Go by both buildings fairly regular since I work in that area. The Danner/Lacross building has been open for quite awile. Must have just taken time to get manufacturing up and running.

Had a pair of US danners go for years with great comfort. I'm willing to pay more to get some made right here again. Good move on their part.

I've seen 2nd hand Danner boots made in the USA stand up to some tough use by the Afghan Border Patrol. They are usually hand downs left by departing troops. They last WAY longer than the new chineeze Bates boots that are usually issued to the students.

When people face the possibility of freezing or starving there is little chance they are going to listen to unfounded claims of climate doomsday from a bunch of ultra-rich yacht sailing private jet-setting carbon-spewing hypocrite elites

This thread caused me to take a look at the pair of Cabelas Danners I bought a few years ago from the bargain cave. Must have came off a display mannequin as they looked like new. Does say Made In USA. These are the leather/Gore-Tex light weight boots, very comfortable.

Ft Lewis are heavy, but so far kick ass. My parents just asked me about a month ago if I got new boots. I kind of laughed and said, yeah, about three years ago. My Ft Lewis have scuffed toes, but still clean up real nice.

Deserve's got nothing to do with it.
