I have a stainless /walnut T/C thunderhawk. When I got it I was told that it was somewhat of a collectors item,as it wasnt catalogued, and not many were ever made.
Does anybody else have one ,or seen one? There are alot of blue/walnut and stainless/synthetic,but not stainless, walnut?

there were quite a few firehawks in stainless/walnut in my area. They were the gun to get for a while, just a couple years before the omega/CVA trend.

These are 50 caliber.

I dont know the thunderhawk... is that the same except in 54 cal?

The firehawk is a refined thunderhawk with a longer barrel and a safety.the thunderhawk has just the striker handle which turns down into a notch for the safety.I have quite a few T/C catalogues from the 90"s and the thunderhawk isnt available in stainless /walnut in any of them.

I just sold a blued walnut T'hawk for $100. The gun was mint, shot great and it took a month to sell. Very few people see value in older inline muzzleloaders. I wouldn't count on getting more than $150 if you were to sell it.

I put a musket cap nipple on mine and was shooting 100 gr 777 ffg with maxi-hunters, maxi-balls or sabots. They all shot great.

I have a 50 cal.24" blue on walnut thunderhawk I use a flame thrower nipple with RWS 1075 + number 11 :I never had a misfire over the years Rain Sleet Snow storms and I will say this gun can shoot.
I shoot about 3" high at the 100 yard and about 15" low at the 200 yard target
My favor in bullets are the Buffalo SSB 375 HPBT with 85 grains of triple 777 nothing will walk away from that bullet
