Fellas:

Will a lightweight scope stand up to the recoil of the 338-06/35 Whelen/9.3x62 class of cartridge? I was giving some thought to something along the lines of Leupold.

Thanks.

Weight ain't a scopes friend, in general.

All I've ever used on my .338 WM and 9.3 x 62 are Leupold 4x M8's, and I've never had a problem.. They are a pretty lightweight, simple, trouble free scope and can be picked up used at very reasonable prices...

I'm not sure if mine is a "light weight" scope but my Leupold 6x42 has had no problems handling my 35 Whelen and 300 Wby.
