Model 12 Winchester, 16 gauge choked IMP CYL.
Model 61 Winchester, 22LR.
Colt Commercial 1911A1 (1950's version).
S&W N frames with forged hammers & triggers (P&R models).

That will do for 2010.

Got one in 7-08 that sure is nice to handle.

A lot of what is wanted from my end are guns that are made today that were made back then, but they've taken the manufacturing shortcuts to cheapen them up. Plastic, pot metal, 'matte' bluing, etc.

That is a good point, and I am with you on that. I guess another intresting question would be what would you be willing to pay for these guns if we could get them manufactured to "Old World Standards" without the manufacturing shortcuts?.

Remington 788 and Remington 600. I had the 788 in .308 and passed on a minty 600 in .308 because I wanted a Mini-14 more. Oh the stupidity!

Aye!

Found a pair of 'em at a show last weekend. The one in 30-30 was tagged at $300 IIRC? The one in 32 Special was priced at $350. Considering mine in 35 Rem. only cost me around $200 several years ago and is in far better condition than the two mentioned, I passed on the one in 32 Spl.

But it was close, there fer a minute or two.

For some reason, I had completely forgoten about the Husqvarna rifles. I killed my first coyote with a .243 that belonged to a friend and thought it was one of the prettiest rifles I had ever seen at the time. Maybe it was, because that was back before I owned my first big game rifle.

Husqvarna is now offically added to my want list.

I'd like to see Smith & Wesson start making the 696 again. I'd prefer it with a 4" barrel though.

If as many people wanted them when they were available as when they were discontinued, some of them would not have been discontinued.
