WSM Montana's are 24" tubes; so says Kimber, and that's what mine is. I suspect you are measuring it "wrong". It's 23" to the reciever, true, but that's not how (for instance) Remington, Browning, or Pac-Nor measure barrels (just to toss out what I have on hand and just measured). They measure from approximatly the bolt face/chamber mouth.

Measure a factory M700 and you'll see what I mean.

Anyway, I'd be curious what QL says about that load as far as pressure, thanks! And whether you agree with my barrel length stuff or not, do me a favor and input 24" for the barrel length...

I want to thank everyone for your help in load choices. I should receive my 325WSM x Bolt s.s. stalker friday. I've bought a Nikon team primos 3-9x40 w/BDC reticle to mount on her and went to bass pro today and bought some win accubond 200's, they seemed like a popular choice. Can't wait to sight it in and see how much shoulder i've got left! For anyone out there with a iphone Winchester has a free ap you can download for free that lets you plug in cartridge, wind, shooting distance etc. and give you approx. data for all there loads(like on their website). I'll let you know how it goes. Rick

Rick, if you have an iPhone you should buy "Ballistic" for it. It's not expensive and works great.
