What would happen if a handloader would use a longer C.O.L when handloading.?

What mite be the dangers of loading too long?

Ex: 44 mag calling for 1.60" and the loader loads at 1.65" or 1.70"???

If it can be crimped and if it fits in the cylinder, the only negative results would be lower pressure and lower velocity.

Generally speaking, for a revolver, if it fits & allows the cylinder to rotate freely, it should be OK.

In a pistol (automatic), it could be too long for the magazine; in some cases, it could fit the mag & still cause feeding problems.

Hello
You would experience Supreme accuracy. A.O.L. is Provided to cover every application a round is Placed in. I Often Mock Up Bullets in Empty Cases to see how close I can get them to the face of the cylinder without Interfering with the rotation. The result is Far Less Bullet Jump and Far More Accuracy...Thegeneral.
