Any comments on these dies? I need to purchase a set of dies and see you can get 100 bullets with the purchase and thought what the heck. But I want to make sure the dies are good.

Yes, I do. They work fine. I normally buy Redding though. No issues with either.

Don't hesitate - they're good quality and work well. 100 free Hornady boolits makes its a great value.

I have a set for the .338 WIN MAG, a little older (maybe ten years) - does a good job. I did update them with the newer "Zip Spindle" - make sure your set has that feature - it will keep the decapping pin from slipping.

they do have the zip spindle and the choices of free bullets are ones that I use anyway. Makes the dies almost free.

If I can't find Redding, RCBS, CH4D, Lee or Foster I'll go Hornady...

Great lock rings. I'll take Hornadys over Lyman, Lee and RCBS.

never looked at myself as picky, but I can't agree with this statement when Hornady Dies are figured in.. they are evidently good quality etc... but they were just too funcky for my tastes, when one got use to using RCBS or Redding or Lee.. so for each caliber I load for, I have at least one set of either of those brands, and normally one set of Lees, along with an RCBS or Redding on any caliber I load for.. I have two unopened boxes of Hornady Dies in 260 and 7 x 57, that are over 10 years old and are still wrapped in the unopened boxes... bought 3 sets on sale, used one and the other two were never opened..

I have them for some of my rimmed cartridges. 7x65, 9.3x74, and .450/.400 3". No complaints whatsoever. At $65, the .450/.400 dies are an absolute steal. The RCBS dies in that cartridge are in the $200 zone. Easy choice there.

My first picks are Forsters and Reddings, but I will take Hornady's over RCBS.

I upgraded dies in several calibers when Hornady offered their bullets for an additional $5.00 per box to Alaska. I have been quite pleased with most of them. (Haven't used the 225 Winchester set yet, nor the 8X68S, but the others are great.) I won't buy Lymans, but I will buy Lees as back-up sets. The others: RCBS, Redding, Hornady all see places on the shelf often depending on what's significantly less expensive or available.

I have a relatively new set for the 6.5x55. They've been good.
