You must be a mall ninja of some sort. However it does sound like it's just another bitter toyota owner trying to make up for your inadequacies. Are your panties in a bunch due to the toyota coverup?
It is true, empty barrels do make the most noise. The 9800+ mindless posts prove it.

No, not bitter at all. I have 3 ford trucks and 1 ford car. Tried the GM thing twice and it sucked both times.
Had a dodge too, and it was ok at best, better than the GM's that's for sure, but have had enough in the family to probably not get another.
Ford and Toyota have been good to me. Toyota buys a lot of materials from the company my wife works for. MILLIONS in HVAC equipment, they put on their US manufacturing facilities and dealerships, so I have no problem what so ever buying a vehicle from them. Because no matter what some of you say, some of that money stays right here.

Wouldn't trust one. Aside from being a gas hog, they are less reliable than even the triton v8's. Not to mention expensive harder to find parts when something does go wrong. For all the purposes of the v10, get a 7.3 powerstroke, the best that they ever made. I personally stick with my trusty 93 dodge cummins 4x4.
The one thing I look forward to with technology is to travel back in time to hunt mastodons!

Those FORD V-10's are averaging around 180,000 miles before a major overhaul, just so YOU know, which you eveidently don't. Now the 4.6 Trition is the best of the bunch with an average of 210,000 before major overhaul and I have seen 3 vehicles with over 250,000 miles on them.
I have also seen where the 5.4 Triton has only gone 160,000 miles before needing a major overhaul. So lets get the facts right before you start shelling out blanket statements about the V-10's and there longgevity as an engine shall we.
The V-10 is one quite powerhouse that will jogg around town getting 11 to 12 mpg and towing 12,000 lbs will drop it down to 9 or 9.5 mpg. Now those are my figures on my E-350 Superduty 4 x 4, which by the way gets 1.2 mpg less because of the 4 x 4 powertrain. Now that surely will bring it up to 10mpg when pulling 12,000 lbs. Also lets not forget the GEARING in the rear of those trucks! I have .373's in my Superduty but you go sticking a set of 4.10's and you can see that mileage drop by 2mpg less.

Malo, your FORD truck is most likely an exception to the rule and your no doubt one who really takes care of his vehicle etc. Most of us don't really pay close attention to our trucks!
However, I have spoke to several Ford people, including my relative who is a shop mgr. for a Ford dealership and they all tell me No Sweat in getting 180,000 miles before a major on a V-10 Ford engine.
I saw an old 1999 model 1-ton Ford with V-10 with close to 260,000 miles on the truck, it smoked at idle and more when you pushed on the gas pedal but the owner told me that he just pulled his broke down dual axle dump truck home from 52 miles away and it had plenty of power. He used 1/4 of a quart of oil he said.........NOT BAD GUYS!
