I have a guy local that has a westernfield 30-06 manlicher in excellent shape. Made in Germany. What is it worth.Thanks Del

Don't know that much about them personally, however I was at a gun auction on Saturday (in Pennsylvania) and they sold a mannlicher model 1950 .270 with a vintage griffin & howell scope in excellent condition for $1400.00. This gun appeared to have been re-blued and the wood re-done.
I don't know if it's anything like a "westernfield" or if this information will help you. That gun just stuck in my mind from the auction.

The last Westernfield I bought was manufactured by Heym. It was a small ring 98 mauser action. A very high quality rifle, but the Western field name didnt help the value of the gun. It was not a manlicher stocked gun. I had a hard time getting $400 out of it

He also has a ruger 44 mag carbine per warning for $350.It is in very good to excellent shape. I am going to buy it. He wants $550 for the manlicher

Hey, Here's an old post from another site.
Posts: 11,602 All I could find in old Gun Digests was that the Western Field Model 720 was a Mauser actioned sporter available in .30-06 and .308. Price was $119.95 in 1967, about $30 less than the post-64, pre-68 Winchester Model 70.

724A is the model Heym stamped under the barrel Mannlicher stock flat bolt handle polished as is the bolt. Hinged floor plate with lever release.I cannot beleive that wards sold this gun. Thanks Del
