The Ruger has an good reputation. It is well thought of by the staff of Gun Tests Magazine. In fact, they rate it as the best deal, for the bucks, in a .45 auto. E

Had a Ruger a few years ago and it shot well. I didn't shoot it much, was going thru a 44mag phase and after a while my son kinda adopted it and it resides at his house now. To the best of knowledge I/we have never had a problem with it,the ONLY function problem was when he got some reloads from hades that were to long and most of them worked. We shorted them down to spec's and no more problem!! I'm a 1911 fan, but you can get a well made, dependable Ruger or in the same price range you can get a substandard piece of crap the jams all the time and couldn't hit a gallon jug at 25 ft,JMHO..........<BR>Oh by the way did I mention I was opinionated..........
