NEW ILLUMINATED RETICLE Our all-new, third-generation illumination will keep you on target like never before. Weve boosted performance with a 15 percent brighter reticle, 8 different intensity settings, an innovative motion sensor, integrated battery storage, and a redesigned, user-friendly interface. INTENSITY LEVELS From dawn to dusk, you can match the ambient light to the perfect illumination setting on your reticle. At right you can see the four high-intensity daylight levels and four low-intensity twilight settings. One size doesnt fit all, and as lighting conditions shift throughout the day, our third-generation illumination provides the flexibility that can make the difference between hit and miss. MOTION SENSITIVE The new motional sensor automatically turns off during inactivity, and reactivates with even slight movement. This not only keeps you ready for action during the waiting game, but increases battery life over the long run. USER FRIENDLY An off position between each intensity setting lets you easily turn off illumination, and snap it back on right where you left it. No more cycling through all the settings to find where you were. There is also a hard stop at the end of the dial, so you can be sure the reticle is off. Born from a long line of highperformance riflescopes, the VX-3 builds on everything weve learned about hunting optics in our 100-plus years of experience. Our exclusive Xtended Twilight Lens System shines in low light conditions, with indexmatched coatings to deliver more light at dawn and dusk. We then added DiamondCoat 2, for increased light transmission and over-the-top abrasion resistance, while blackened lens edges cut glare and boost contrast and resolution. Now available with our thirdgeneration illumination module, with multiple intensity settings and motion sensitivity, its perfect for your next hunt. BATTERY STORAGE The common CR-2032 powers the illumination module, and weve built in an integrated replacement battery storage compartment under the elevation and windage adjustment covers

Weve boosted performance with a 15 percent brighter reticle, Hmmm, I don't think this has ever was a problem before it was "fixed." Never was it a problem being too dim, the reticles have always been too bright to use. This ain't just a dig at Leupold. I've got a very expensive NightForce that isn't any better. Terry

i think this looks like they have tried to make it less bright. the yhave 4 nighttime settings now so they dont blind you like nightforce does. Plus these appear to only illuminate the center not the entire reticle like nightforce

Leupold had the poorest designed illumination reticle module of any scope I have used. This includes Zeiss, Swarovski, S&B, & even Simmons. Prone to failure, over powers image, no auto off, & drained battery rapidly. Obviously, someone makes this module for Leupold, but spec reads like a very competitive design. Glad to find out Leupold is solving this deficiency in their product line even though it represents a small percentage of sales in the US.
